s a computer. She is one of my Dad's six older sisters. She is a very special lady. Anyway, she has a pear tree in her yard that every year yields tons of pears. This year she called us to come and take some if we wanted. We did! Yum!! We took a bunch
and I have been making herpear bread recipe now almost every weekend since then. It has been great fun making them with my daughter and the fact that it was this special lady's recipe makes it even more special.
I love this bread and I think I could eat it everyday.

Just read and called Aunt Gene to read to her this post. She said it "put chills up my spine" to know this. She's sooooo happy you're enjoying. I, too, have made a half dozen pear breads, but used a different recipe; I also made a Pear Crisp to take to a family gathering. Yummy, too! There's still a few more pears on the top of the tree, and Aunt Gene says anyone who can pick them can have them -- just give her a call.
Sounds like a very special lady and how even more special that you have her recipe to make and always be reminded of her.
